About me

Hi, I’m Shelvin Pauly, a robotics engineer with a passion for creating innovative and intelligent solutions for real-world problems. I have always been fascinated by how robots can interact with their environment and perform complex tasks that humans can do or cannot do.

I have a master’s degree in robotics from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology. During my academic journey, I have gained theoretical and practical knowledge in various aspects of robotics, such as kinematics, dynamics, control, perception, learning and planning. I have also developed skills in programming and design languages, software development tools, code analysis and testing tools, frameworks and tools, operating systems and simulation environments.

I have experience in working on various projects related to robot software development, computer vision, deep reinforcement learning and autonomous systems. Some of the projects that I have worked on include learning to generate code from images with actor-critic, inventory management automated guided vehicle, deep reinforcement learning for sparse reward feedback, image captioning using vision transformers and remote dressing support system.
